Yamil Hernandez, MBA
Vice President, Business Development and Project Management
Yamil O. Hernandez joined Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in December 1999 as Information Technology Supervisor. In 2005, he became Director of Consumer Products where he was responsible for the strategic planning and ultimate launch of several consumer products. In 2006, he became the Director of Business Development, and in January 2011 was promoted to Vice President of Business Development and Project Management where is responsible for the acquisition, licensing and integration of Rare Disease products.
Before joining Sigma-Tau, Yamil was a Technology Solutions Consultant with Pelican Papers, LLC. Yamil’s background and experience includes considerable knowledge in the areas of licensing, contracting, financial modeling, and project management.
Yamil holds a BS in Information Technology Management and an MBA from the University of Maryland University College. He is also a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of the Licensing Executive Society (LES), Project Management Institute (PMI) and holds a commission in the United States Coast Guard Reserve.
